Just a note to everyone. The website is up and running and is ready for the donations. We would like all to know that 100% of the donations are going to Denise Deland and her kids. 0% of any donation given is going to any of the dozen+ people involved in getting the foundation going.

I just want to say thank you to everyone that has taken a moment to read about the Deland family and their situation. Thank You
I also wanted to announce we have received our very first donation last night from a very generous soul in Arizona.
Thank you and God Bless
We really had a wonderful turnout at the Jewel fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who donated. We really enjoyed talking with those of you who had the extra time to chat with us. It is so hard to put into words how thankful we are for all of your generous donations.
Here is an update for you:
We have raised enough money to pay the Deland families rent for the next 2 months, and the electric bill.
We are really reaching for the stars here, our goal is to get the family into a newer home, something they could afford and one with low maintenance. We are also looking for a permenant phone and a car for the family.
Let me update you on the accomplishments made since this tragety:
The family is signed up for public aid, food stamps, ss benefits, the Naperville Loaves and Fishes, family counceling, funds for 2 months rent and electric bills have been raised.
ALL OF THIS BECAUSE A COMMUNITY HAS COME TOGETHER FOR ONE OF THEIR OWN. THANK YOU AGAIN. PLEASE KEEP THIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS.
If the family in need of any window air conditioners?
We would really appreciate window air conditioners. Thank you very much, we are working on a FAMILY DAY, fundraiser so come back and check the website, it will include food, bean bag tournament, craft fair and much more!!! Please contact us to call you and make arrangements!
God Bless
Tracy
This type of help for a family in need is very helpfull for everyone.
It would also be nice to see the amount of money received to date and a goal amount.
The book “Dead Aid” makes a good point of teaching people to fish instead of giving them fish.
How can we help the family succeed?
Suggesting a donation amount would also be helpful.
