We are very sorry to learn of the tragedy that has come upon the Deland family. Our prayers go out to them. We operate a mobile disc jockey company and have provided music to fund raiser events in the past. We would be will to offer our services as a donation to help the Deland family with their situation. My suggestion for a fund-raising idea actually comes from my daughter Kim and son-in-law Frank Kratz when we asked what they would like to have for their 30th wedding anniversary (which they will celebrate on July 21st ). Their quick reply was “We’d like you to donate the money to the Deland Family Foundation. The donation was mailed today. Are there other people out there who might consider giving up their gift for the Deland Family?

My name is Laura Sheppard and I live nearby the Delands in Lakewood Valley. Their situation was brought to my attention by next-door neighbor and friend, Ann Schulke, who knows Lauren through Calvary.

Ann and I are interested in discussing doing a Jim Gill fundraising concert for the Delands. I have recent fundraising experience (Spreading Sunshine for Allie) that I feel could benefit the Deland family and Ann is extremely connected to the community.

I believe that we could raise $5,000 for the family and I’m being conservative in that estimate as the Jim Gill concert I organized in February for Allie Gagnon (www.alliegagnon.org) raised over $7,000.
